Experimenting on Campus Engagement Initiatives

Online sales are getting hotter! Hope you remember the Flipkart campaign on 'Nahi kharida?', #AchhaKiya created a buzz on social media as their competitors aped them in all possible ways! Snapdeal said 'Achha kiya, bata diya' #YahanSeKharido and Amazon made fun of it saying 'Kahi nahi mila?' #YahaDekhLo. Many others also followed!

And now, Jabong.com is seriously taking their business to the young generation. They are planning several Campus Engagement Initiatives. To start with they have offered Institute of Apparel Management; a Fashion Design Institute based in Gurgaon an Online Quiz Competition. There will be Case Study competitions, Guest Lectures on Fashion Trends and many more event based campaigns to attract the young crowd. 

The e-commerce focus is now on Exclusive App Shopping! It is because the business statistics were showing an upward trend on App models these days. Every youth is equipped with a smartphone which they will be using for an average of 8 to 10 hours a day. 

"During our travel and leisure time we are online looking for better entertainment opportunities which are crisp in its nature. We don't want lengthy stuff. Even the e-commerce people should re-look at their design and development part of the site. Let it be dynamic! The era of static stuff is over!" Shourya Mohan who is studying Fashion Communication from Institute of Apparel Management explained her views.
