Maajid Azhicode, a young boy from Kerala came to Delhi to learn Journalism from International Media Institute of India (IMII) sponsored by International Center for Journalists (ICFJ). He learned the techniques of the trade and wanted to be a media entrepreneur. It was on October 31, 2012, the dayMaajid formed Dock Productions as a single proprietorship business, beginning from a small room in the Chaliyaar Lodge at Ramanattukara in Kerala and his post production works were done at Candela Creations Studio.

Dock Productions was officially launched as a company on the 1st of January, 2013 with partners Haneesh and Shehin K Maoithunni at Fourth Gate, Calicut. They got an opportunity to involve in TV production for Media One, a popular Television Channel in Malayalam. Hot Wheels, an automotive based TV show was a mega success with its innovative style of presentation. Soon they moved to Kochi for better production technology facilities.

“We add colors of reality, to the dormant potential prospective of expansion in the media industry, providing a definite contour to the vague images of industry development. The very rational logic's of bygone advertising and media propagation are being reconstructed here and moulded according to the new generation. We observe the world from its vantage point and indulge along with our clients to metamorphose their aspirations of fame, quality and reach flutter to reality.” Explained Maajid.

In the rapidly expanding market for corporates, advertisements and quality TV programmes are valuable commodities. Dock Productions was formed to produce a broad range of proprietary new products for the television and corporate advertisement industry. The company is now applying their resources to building a successful Media Production enterprise based in Dubai.

“An integrated evaluation of global trends, local capabilities, and domestic economic landscape reveals the ability of the media industry to transform and deliver value added creative products and services to the economy and the entire Arab region. The potential opportunities position the Emirate as the best place among the Arab countries to build and develop its strengths on enabling visual content, for the region in particular and the world at large.” Maajid was thrilled about his new projects.

With the 4G technology coming in a big way, there is a need for quality multimedia content. And those who can provide that will be in demand for the coming years. Dock Productions has this capacity with its leadership and creative strengths.
