A new look for Google

The new logo design of Google is a change of typography. From serif to sans-serif! The current Google logo launched on September 1, 2015 has softer colors and bears a resemblance to the logo of Google's parent company Alphabet Inc.

It is amazing to see how the Google logo changes its look and feel matching to the occasions. They are really focusing on innovation in communication design. The  users enjoy it. Google is now owned by Alphabet, a holding company created by founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page. Experts understood that the fact of it as to separate their money-making search engine company from the loss-making projects like robot cars, medical research and internet-delivering balloons.

You might have seen Google logo which appears in numerous styles identifying the search engine company. Google has relied on several logos since its renaming from BackRub, with the first logo created by Sergey Brin using General Image Manipulation Program (GIMP). The previous logo, with slight modifications between 1999 and 2013, was designed by Ruth Kedar; the wordmark was based on the Catull typeface, an old style serif typeface designed by Gustav Jaeger for the Berthold Type Foundry in 1982. The company also includes various modifications or humorous features, such as cartoon modifications of their logo for use on holidays, birthdays of famous people, and major events, such as the Olympics. 

There is lot more excitement to be unfolded in the coming days from Google. The parent company Alphabet Inc. is working hard in the background. "The new generation is in a state that they can't live without Google! For anything and everything the first task is to search on Google" said Abhinav Anand a student from Amity University.
