Vodafone India to Rollout 4G Services in Kerala

Vodafone India, the country's second largest telecom operator in terms of subscribers has announced the upcoming launch of its 4G networks in India on the FDD-LTE 1800MHz band. The rollout of 4G mobile services will begin from Monday in Kochi, Kerala.
The telecom operator is currently offering users 4G SIM exchange with same day postpaid SIM delivery and activation. Other than this, Vodafone’s RED subscribers will be provided with twice the data for the first 3 months. Additionally, the company mentions its 4G mobile wifi will support up to 10 devices, although it’s not clear if Vodafone is referring to a wifi device or tethering abilities. It is said that the testing of 4G services in these locations has already commenced successfully. The company had announced December rollouts for Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Kolkata back in October.

Globally, Vodafone has launched 4G in 19 countries. Vodafone said its 4G-LTE services can be accessed from 4G enabled handsets offered by leading smartphone manufacturers available across the country.The company is offering 4G at the rates of 3G and packs range from Rs 29 for 120 MB data to 20 GB for Rs 2,499.
