Year 2015 has seen many 'pink slips' at various levels of private companies. It was terrifying time for mid-level career people. They were confused and did not know where to look at. And now, a reverse brain drain is happening. The young generation is looking at government jobs seriously. They are willing to wait for it.

Here comes a wonderful offer from the government sector. Indian Railways, one of the world's largest railway networks carrying 8.397 billion passengers annually or more than 23 million passengers a day has invited applications for various 18,252 non-technical graduate posts.

Apart from job security, the government jobs offer other benefits like good salary and allowances. In some cases pensions are also given to retired workers. Since many retired workers are too old to look for new jobs, the pension is of great benefit to them. The government has also given an additional 2 years to people who are almost retiring.

The available jobs at Indian Railways are of Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, Enquiry cum Reservation Clerk, Goods Guard, Junior Accountant cum Amanuensis (Typist), Senior Clerk cum typist, Assistant Station Master, Transport Assistant and Senior Time Keeper.

It is a great opportunity for the young job seekers to secure their life.  The applications are invited online reducing the paperwork. Candidates are required to apply online to any one of the Rail Recruitment Board. Application to more than one RRB will lead to rejection of all the applications. The application fee payments can also be made online. Those interested to apply for these posts should apply on or before 25 January 2016.

Finally, if the key element you were searching for to your career aspiration is a secure future, Indian Railways has brought the opportunity to you.
