Shekhar Gupta, Barkha Dutt launch digital media venture 'theprint'.

Former editor-in-chief of The Indian Express newspaper and NDTV's Barkha Dutt who resigned her position as group editor in February 2015 have joined hands to launch a digital media startup called 'theprintindia'. The announcement was first made on social media platform Twitter by both the journalists
Senior journalist, Ruhi Tewari, who has previously worked with The Indian Express and the financial portal Livemint, has joined as associate editor of The Print.
ThePrint currently produces and telecasts a monthly series called #OffTheCuff on NDTV 24×7 and NDTV Profit/Prime. The first event took place yesterday, with discussions with Nikesh Arora about the economy, education system, business and other subjects. Interestingly, co-founder Shekhar Gupta, a long-time Indian Express editor, had set up his venture Mediascape in December 2014. That initiative had a similar business model and was to produce two new television shows for NDTV’s English news channel. Barkha Dutt has also made it clear that her relationship with NDTV will remain as it is, as the Senior Journalist.
