Twitter Introduces New Advertising Tool Called 'First View' in India
Dated: April 22, 2016
Social Media giant Twitter has introduced ‘First View’ in India. First View empowers Indian Business of any size to scale their marketing campaigns with video and real-time, public conversations. Tata Motors India is among the first advertisers in the region to leverage the feature. First View is available in 29 countries including Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore.
Maya Hari, senior director, product strategy and sales, Twitter, Asia Pacific, Latin America and Emerging Markets, says, "Audiences today demand video content. With First View, marketers have the ability to connect with their audience through richer forms of communication and creative content, while ensuring that they are constantly top-of-mind on their feeds. First View provides advertisers with the opportunity to own the most valuable ad space on our platform on any given day, expanding their reach within a 24-hour period."
First View looks at helping marketers achieve significant audience reach with exclusive ownership of Twitter's most valuable advertising real estate for a 24-hour period. Currently, when users first visit the Twitter app or log in to twitter.com, the top ad slot in the timelines is generally a Promoted Video from that brand. Now, marketers can tell a powerful visual story across the Twitter audience.
Because First View uses only video ads, the first important use which strikes to the mind is of the entertainment industry as most movie promotional campaigns are being carried out on social media platforms.
