Reliance Retail has launched AJIO Beauty, extending its AJIO fashion platform into the beauty and personal-care category. The new service will feature over 1,500 brands across skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrances and more, offering curated routines, personalised recommendations and quick delivery options, intensifying competition with established players like Nykaa.
Reliance Retail has unveiled AJIO Beauty, marking a significant expansion of its AJIO platform into the fast-growing beauty and personal-care category. The launch combines AJIO’s established digital presence in fashion with the expertise of Tira, Reliance Retail’s omnichannel beauty business, creating a comprehensive destination for consumers seeking both style and self-care.
AJIO Beauty’s catalogue spans skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrances, bath and body, personal care and beauty accessories, catering to value, premium and luxury price segments. With more than 1,500 Indian and international brands on offer, the platform aims to deliver across over 19,000 pin codes nationwide, reinforcing Reliance Retail’s reach and scale.
Selected products will also be available via AJIO Rush, the company’s quick-delivery service, in cities where the service is operational. Beyond convenience, AJIO Beauty promises curated routines, ingredient-based recommendations, trend discovery and personalised product suggestions, designed to help consumers navigate an increasingly complex beauty landscape.
“With AJIO Beauty, we are extending AJIO’s fashion-first philosophy into the beauty space, creating a destination where customers can discover products that complement their individuality and lifestyle,” an AJIO spokesperson said. The statement underscores Reliance’s ambition to integrate fashion and beauty into a seamless digital experience.
The launch strengthens Reliance Retail’s position in India’s online beauty market, where it already operates Tira. By introducing AJIO Beauty, the company is set to compete more directly with established players such as Nykaa, which has built a strong presence in premium beauty ecommerce. Reliance’s dual-platform strategy signals its intent to capture diverse consumer segments, from mass-market shoppers to luxury enthusiasts.
Reliance Retail, a subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures, continues to expand aggressively across categories. The company operated 20,169 stores and recorded gross revenue of ₹3.70 lakh crore during the financial year ended 31 March 2026. AJIO Beauty represents another step in its broader strategy to consolidate leadership in India’s retail and ecommerce sectors, leveraging scale, technology and consumer insights.
As beauty becomes an increasingly important lifestyle category for Indian consumers, AJIO Beauty’s entry is expected to intensify competition and reshape the dynamics of online beauty retail. By combining fashion sensibilities with curated beauty offerings, Reliance Retail is positioning AJIO Beauty as a destination that reflects individuality, aspiration and convenience.
