TBWAIndia has announced the appointment of Samir Sagar as senior vice president, marking a significant addition to its leadership team. Sagar joins the agency after a fruitful tenure at Famous Innovations, where he served as business head for nearly one and a half years. His move underscores TBWAIndia’s ongoing focus on strengthening its strategic and creative leadership as it expands its footprint in the Indian advertising landscape.

A seasoned advertising professional with over 15 years of experience, Sagar has built a strong portfolio across multiple marquee agencies and global brands. His career includes a seven-year stint with MullenLowe Lintas Group and nine years with McCann, where he played key roles in driving brand growth and creative strategy. Known for his keen understanding of integrated communication and brand-building in competitive markets, Sagar brings a wealth of expertise that blends strategic insight with creative instinct.

Before returning to India, Sagar also spent a year in Jakarta, Indonesia, as a brand partner at The Thinking Machine, where he worked on regional campaigns and cross-market strategy for Southeast Asian brands. His international exposure is expected to add depth to TBWA’s regional and global collaborations.

Industry insiders view Sagar’s appointment as a strategic move for TBWAIndia, known for its disruptive thinking philosophy. The agency has been ramping up its senior talent pool to drive stronger creative solutions and sharper business growth. With Sagar stepping into a senior vice president role, TBWA aims to leverage his extensive experience to enhance client partnerships and deliver innovative brand storytelling in an evolving media environment.

Commenting on his new role, Sagar is expected to bring his trademark balance of creative ambition and business acumen to the agency, building on TBWA’s commitment to challenge conventions and craft culturally resonant work. His appointment comes at a time when agencies are reimagining the future of advertising through integrated strategy, data-driven insights, and purpose-led storytelling—areas where Sagar has demonstrated consistent leadership throughout his career.
