Royal Enfield has appointed Piyush Prasad as the Global Business Development Lead for Electric Vehicles (EV), marking a significant milestone in the company’s electric mobility ambitions. With over two decades of experience in the automotive and EV sectors, Prasad brings a wealth of expertise to his new role, focusing on driving global EV partnerships, market expansion, and strategic growth initiatives across key regions.

Prasad’s impressive career spans senior leadership roles at prominent companies like HERO ELECTRIC VEHICLES PVT LTD, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Renault, General Motors, Mahindra Group, and Hyundai Motor Company. His expertise in business development, market operations, and sales leadership positions him well to accelerate Royal Enfield’s EV journey globally.

As Business Development Lead (India) at Royal Enfield, Prasad played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s domestic market presence and shaping strategic initiatives aligned with its global EV roadmap. His previous role as National Business Head at Hero Electric Vehicles saw him lead nationwide operations, distribution strategy, and sales transformation efforts.

Royal Enfield operates across 60+ countries, with over 3,000 retail touchpoints, five CKD facilities, and three state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in Chennai. The company continues to expand its global footprint while steering toward a sustainable, electric-powered future.

Prasad’s appointment underscores Royal Enfield’s strategic focus on enhancing its presence and growth in the EV segment. His deep industry knowledge and proven business acumen are expected to drive Royal Enfield’s EV initiatives forward.
