Nandini Dias takes charge as Vice President, L V Navaneeth as Honorary Secretary, and Pradeep Dwivedi as Honorary Treasurer. Several industry stalwarts have been co-opted as members.

The International Advertising Association (IAA) India Chapter has announced its new leadership for 2026-27, with Janak Sarda elected as President. The appointment marks a significant moment for the association, which plays a pivotal role in shaping the advertising, marketing and communications landscape in India.

Sarda, who has long been associated with the industry, brings with him a reputation for innovation and collaborative leadership. His election reflects the confidence of the IAA community in his ability to steer the chapter through a period of transformation and growth. Under his stewardship, the association is expected to strengthen its role as a bridge between agencies, brands, media and consumers, while also addressing the challenges posed by rapid technological shifts and evolving consumer behaviour.

Joining him in the leadership team is Nandini Dias, one of the most respected figures in Indian advertising, who has been elected Vice President. Dias’s extensive experience in media strategy and brand building is expected to add depth to the association’s initiatives. L V Navaneeth, with his strong background in media management, has been appointed Honorary Secretary, while Pradeep Dwivedi, known for his expertise in digital transformation and corporate leadership, will serve as Honorary Treasurer. Together, the team represents a blend of strategic vision, operational excellence and industry-wide credibility.

The new committee also includes a distinguished group of co-opted members, underscoring the association’s commitment to inclusivity and diverse representation. Raj Kamble, celebrated for his creative leadership, Sam Balsara, a veteran media planner, Babita Barua, a leading voice in brand strategy, Rani Reddy, known for her contributions to regional media, and Anant Goenka, representing the publishing sector, have all been brought on board. Their collective expertise is expected to enrich the chapter’s activities and strengthen its engagement with stakeholders across the spectrum.

The announcement comes at a time when the advertising industry is navigating a dynamic environment shaped by digital disruption, changing consumer expectations and the growing importance of sustainability and purpose-driven communication. The IAA India Chapter, under its new leadership, is likely to focus on fostering dialogue around these themes, while also championing ethical practices and professional development.

Industry observers note that the composition of the new team reflects a deliberate balance between continuity and fresh perspectives. With seasoned leaders and emerging voices working together, the chapter is well-positioned to expand its influence both within India and globally. The IAA’s role as a platform for collaboration and advocacy will be crucial in ensuring that the industry remains resilient and future-ready.

As the new leadership takes charge, expectations are high for initiatives that will not only strengthen the association’s presence but also contribute meaningfully to the broader advertising and marketing ecosystem. The coming year promises to be one of renewed energy, innovation and collective progress for the IAA India Chapter.
