American denim and lifestyle label Lucky Brand has officially entered India through a partnership with Confluxe Retail Pvt Ltd. The move marks the brand’s first digital presence in the country and comes as Indian consumers increasingly embrace heritage-driven fashion, individuality and premium denim ahead of the festive shopping season.

Lucky Brand, the California-inspired denim and lifestyle company that has championed individuality and self-expression for more than three decades, has officially entered the Indian market through a strategic partnership with omnichannel retailer Confluxe Retail Pvt Ltd.

The launch marks the brand’s first digital footprint in India and signals a significant step in its international growth strategy, as it seeks to deepen its presence in high-potential markets around the world.

The American label, renowned for its premium denim, relaxed aesthetic and craft-led approach to design, sees India as an increasingly important destination amid rising demand for global lifestyle brands and heritage fashion. The move comes at a time when Indian consumers, particularly younger generations, are demonstrating a growing preference for brands that offer authenticity, strong storytelling and distinctive identities.

“India is one of the most exciting markets in the world for us right now,” said Henry Stupp, President, EMEA-India at Authentic, the owner of the Lucky Brand intellectual property. “We recognise the importance of establishing a strong local presence for Lucky Brand in these rapidly growing territories, and we look forward to forging new paths in the region.”

Founded on a spirit of California cool, optimism and craftsmanship, Lucky Brand has built its reputation around denim designed with character and an irreverent sense of style. For more than 30 years, the company has celebrated self-expression and individuality, values that executives believe resonate strongly with Indian consumers.

The brand’s arrival also coincides with a broader phase of expansion. In recent years, Lucky Brand has strengthened its cultural relevance through collaborations and partnerships with global celebrities, including Addison Rae in 2025 and Charlie Puth in 2026, helping it connect with younger, fashion-conscious audiences worldwide.

According to Sanjeet Mehta, EVP, India, Lifestyle & Entertainment at Authentic, the timing of the launch reflects both the brand’s heritage appeal and shifting consumer preferences in the country.

“Lucky Brand has arrived in India at the right moment,” Mehta said. “A new generation here is drawn to authenticity, heritage and denim with a real point of view, which is exactly what Lucky stands for. In Confluxe, we have found a partner who understands both the brand and this market, and who can build it here with the care and long-term thinking it deserves.”

Industry observers note that denim continues to evolve in India from a wardrobe essential into a form of personal expression. This trend is particularly evident among youth-driven communities influenced by music, outdoor lifestyles and vintage-inspired fashion, segments that align closely with Lucky Brand’s identity.

For Confluxe Retail, the partnership represents an opportunity to introduce Indian shoppers to a globally recognised label with a well-established heritage.

“Denim in India has evolved from an everyday staple into a statement of individuality,” said Rajesh Narkar, CEO and Co-founder of Confluxe Retail Private Limited. “Lucky Brand brings the perfect mix of vintage California cool and modern comfort that Indians are looking for. Confluxe is proud to partner with Authentic to introduce this iconic label to the market at such an exciting time.”

The rollout has been strategically timed ahead of India’s festive shopping season, traditionally the busiest period for retail spending, positioning Lucky Brand to capitalise on heightened consumer demand as it begins its journey in one of the world’s fastest-growing fashion markets.
