Celio has named Jordan Doppagne as Chief Executive Officer for its India business, underscoring the brand’s commitment to growth and retail transformation. With extensive international experience in scaling and restructuring retail networks, Doppagne will lead Celio India’s next phase of expansion, focusing on operational excellence, disciplined execution, and customer-centric transformation.
Fashion retailer Celio has announced the appointment of Jordan Doppagne as Chief Executive Officer for its India operations, a move that signals the brand’s sharpened focus on growth, operational excellence, and retail transformation in one of its most strategic markets. The decision reflects Celio’s ambition to strengthen its presence in India’s dynamic fashion retail landscape, where consumer expectations and competitive intensity continue to evolve rapidly.
Doppagne, a seasoned retail transformation executive, brings extensive international experience in scaling, restructuring, and optimising large retail networks across complex and fast-moving markets. His leadership philosophy is rooted in balancing financial performance, operational execution, and people development, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making and disciplined implementation at the store level.
Announcing his new role on LinkedIn, Doppagne wrote: “Today, I step into the role of CEO of Celio India — not as a title, but as a responsibility. India is far more than a growth market; it is a dynamic and demanding retail environment that constantly challenges us to rethink, adapt, and execute better every day. Our focus is clear: elevate the in-store experience, improve product availability where it matters most, build a sharper and more disciplined retail network, and strengthen our data backbone to make faster, better decisions. Execution will be everything, and what gives me confidence is not only the strategy, but the people behind it.”
Prior to his elevation, Doppagne served as Head of Retail Transformation and Managing Director at Celio, where he spearheaded large-scale modernisation initiatives and business expansion strategies. His track record includes successfully driving transformation programmes across diverse geographies, adapting retail models to local market realities while preserving brand integrity, profitability, and long-term scalability.
Before joining Celio, Doppagne held leadership positions at Ralph Lauren, the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), and Abercrombie & Fitch Co. These roles helped him build deep expertise in retail operations, commercial leadership, multi-site management, sales performance, and customer-centric business transformation. His pragmatic leadership style, marked by clarity of direction, accountability, and consistent execution, has earned him recognition as a transformation leader capable of delivering sustainable results.
In his new role, Doppagne will lead Celio India’s next phase of growth, focusing on strengthening the brand’s position in the country’s evolving fashion retail sector. With India’s retail landscape undergoing rapid change driven by shifting consumer behaviour, digital adoption, and heightened competition, his appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Celio. The brand’s emphasis on disciplined execution, sharper retail networks, and enhanced customer experiences reflects a broader strategy to align global expertise with local market demands.
As Celio embarks on this new chapter under Doppagne’s leadership, the company is expected to intensify its efforts to deliver operational excellence and customer-centric transformation, reinforcing its ambition to be a leading player in India’s fashion retail industry.
