Singha Corporation has launched “Dear Jeeno”, a heartfelt campaign centred on golfer Jeeno and the importance of encouragement before success arrives. The film highlights the role of belief in personal growth, reflecting Singha’s long-standing commitment to supporting Thai athletes, young talent and sporting development across all levels.
A simple message of encouragement is at the heart of Singha Corporation’s latest campaign, “Dear Jeeno”, a film that uses the story of rising golf star Jeeno to explore a universal truth: belief often matters most before achievement becomes visible to the world.
The campaign reflects Singha’s long-standing approach to supporting Thai sport. Over the years, the company has backed athletes across a wide range of disciplines, often before they achieved national or international recognition. That commitment extends beyond individual stars to include young athletes, sports associations, national teams and athletes with disabilities, creating opportunities for people to develop their skills and fulfil their potential.
Rather than focusing on trophies, rankings or career milestones, “Dear Jeeno” places attention on the people who provide encouragement during the uncertain early stages of an athlete’s journey. The film highlights the impact that belief from a parent, coach, teacher, mentor or supporter can have when success still feels distant.
According to Chutchai Wiratyosin, Assistant to the Chairman of the Executive Board at Singha Corporation, the campaign reflects a philosophy that has guided the company’s involvement in sport for many years.
“Belief matters most when there is little to show for it yet. Sometimes, knowing that one person sees your potential is what gives you the courage to take the next step,” he said.
“That is the thinking behind our support for Thai sports and our belief in the power of sport to develop people. For us, sport is about more than results or wins. It is about creating opportunities for people to grow, realise their potential, and inspire others along the way. Through ‘Dear Jeeno’, we hope people will think not only of those who believed in them, but also of someone who might need their encouragement today. You do not have to wait for someone to succeed before you stand beside them.”
The campaign’s distribution strategy reinforces its personal message. Instead of premiering the film through Singha’s corporate channels, the company chose to launch it on Jeeno’s own Instagram account. As a result, audiences encountered the story first through the athlete’s perspective rather than as a traditional brand communication.
The decision shifts attention away from sponsorship and towards the relationship behind the story. Singha’s role becomes one of quiet support, linked to the belief that helped shape Jeeno’s path rather than a conventional marketing announcement celebrating an established champion.
While golf provides the backdrop, the themes explored in “Dear Jeeno” resonate far beyond sport. At its core, the film is about human connection and the individuals who recognise potential before achievements make it obvious to everyone else.
A message originally intended for one granddaughter becomes a broader invitation for audiences to reflect on those who stood by them during challenging moments. It also raises an equally important question: who in our own lives might benefit from the same encouragement today?
In that sense, “Dear Jeeno” is not simply a story about an athlete’s journey. It is a reminder that belief, offered at the right moment, can be the force that helps someone keep moving forward long before success arrives.
