Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios has announced the promotion of Stuti Ramachandra to Director & Head of Production & Post Production, a role that significantly broadens her responsibilities across India, Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. In this expanded leadership position, Ramachandra will oversee production and post-production capabilities across multiple territories, reinforcing the platform’s international originals ecosystem and supporting the continued growth of premium storytelling in the region.

Her appointment reflects Prime Video’s strategic focus on scaling its creative and operational infrastructure to meet the demands of increasingly ambitious projects. By unifying production and post-production oversight across diverse markets, Ramachandra will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the platform’s content maintains both creative excellence and technical precision, while adapting to the unique cultural and industry dynamics of each territory.

Ramachandra brings with her a wealth of experience from her tenure at Excel Entertainment Pvt Ltd, where she served as Executive Producer and Line Producer. Her contributions spanned acclaimed projects such as Karthik Calling Karthik, Fukrey Returns, Gully Boy, Toofaan, and Yudhra. This portfolio underscores her ability to manage complex productions, balancing creative ambition with logistical execution. Her expertise encompasses film production, budgeting, physical production, post-production and final delivery, equipping her to lead multi-market operations with confidence and precision.

Industry observers note that her promotion comes at a time when streaming platforms are intensifying their investment in original content, particularly in Asia-Pacific, where diverse audiences and rapidly evolving markets present both challenges and opportunities. Ramachandra’s leadership is expected to strengthen Prime Video’s ability to deliver high-quality productions that resonate globally while retaining local authenticity.

Her track record of managing large-scale projects and her deep understanding of the production lifecycle position her as a key figure in Prime Video’s regional expansion. By aligning creative vision with operational execution, she will help ensure that the platform’s international originals continue to set benchmarks for storytelling and craft.

Ramachandra’s elevation signals Prime Video’s commitment to nurturing leadership talent capable of steering complex, multi-territory productions.
