Prerna Suri has announced her appointment to the Awarding Jury for the Entertainment Lions for Music at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2026. Expressing gratitude to her colleagues at Sony Music Entertainment across Asia, New York, Los Angeles and London, she highlighted her excitement at joining fellow jurors in setting the global benchmark for creativity and recognising work that will make history.
Currently serving as Vice President of Communications for Asia and the Middle East at Sony Music Entertainment, Suri plays a pivotal role in shaping and championing the stories of some of the region’s most exciting musical talent. She also leads corporate communications for Sony Music in Asia, bringing a distinctive blend of cultural insight and strategic storytelling to the role.
Her career trajectory reflects a remarkable breadth of experience. From documenting the Syrian refugee crisis and the Darfur conflict as a documentary filmmaker and TV presenter, to reporting as a foreign correspondent with Al Jazeera English and NDTV, Suri has consistently demonstrated the power of narrative to connect people across borders. Later, she transitioned into communications leadership roles at Meta and Cisco, before joining Sony Music Entertainment, where she continues to advocate for creativity with purpose.
Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Suri leads the Sony Global Social Justice Fund’s efforts in Asia and the Middle East. She has spearheaded initiatives that use music as a platform for gender equality and supported charities focused on women’s empowerment issues in the region. Her commitment to social impact through creativity has become a hallmark of her professional journey.
Suri also holds several key advisory and professional roles. She is a member of the Asian Forum of Global Governance, a pro-bono advisory member of the Bhutan Media Foundation, and serves on The London School of Economics Alumni Committee. In addition, she has been a jury member for The Drum Awards Festival and the World Federation of Advertising Awards, and contributes thought leadership through TigerHall and speaking engagements at platforms such as TEDx.
