CavinKare has entered the premium ice cream segment with its Cavin’s range, launching in Chennai. Featuring 72 variants across 24 flavours, the offering blends global and Indian tastes in an infusion-led format designed to deliver a parlour-style experience at home.

In a strategic expansion aligned with shifting consumer preferences in India’s dairy and dessert space, CavinKare has announced its foray into the premium ice cream category under its Cavin’s brand. The rollout, which begins in Chennai, coincides with the peak summer season, a critical period for ice cream consumption in the country.

The company is positioning its new range around an “infusion-led” concept, combining a variety of ingredients such as fruits, chocolates, cookies, nuts and traditional Indian sweets within its ice creams. This approach aims to elevate both texture and flavour complexity, while replicating the indulgent experience typically associated with ice cream parlours in a convenient take-home format.

The Cavin’s portfolio comprises 72 variants spanning 24 flavours, organised into categories including fruits, dry fruits, mithai, chocolate, classic, signature and candy. The assortment reflects a deliberate blend of international and local influences, with combinations such as coffee with granules sitting alongside distinctly Indian flavours like Rajbhog. This dual focus is designed to appeal to a broad spectrum of consumers seeking both familiar comfort and novel indulgence.

Developed over a period of approximately 18 months, the new range forms part of CavinKare’s broader diversification strategy as it seeks to strengthen its presence in the competitive dairy and dessert market. By introducing a wide flavour palette and layered ingredient profiles, the company is targeting evolving urban consumption patterns that favour premiumisation, experimentation and convenience.

The entry marks a notable step for CavinKare as it extends its Cavin’s brand beyond its established dairy offerings, tapping into the growing demand for differentiated, experience-driven products within India’s fast-moving consumer goods landscape.
