Billboard India has announced the appointment of Mohini Chaudhuri as Content Strategy Director, marking another decisive step in building its leadership team. With 18 years of experience across journalism, cinema, and digital transformation, Chaudhuri will lead the platform’s multi-channel content architecture and digital strategy to cement its role as the definitive voice of India’s evolving music ecosystem.

In her new role, Chaudhuri will define Billboard India’s editorial tone, oversee content strategies across text, video, and multimedia, and expand digital reach through a blend of data-led insight and creative intuition. She will also lead a growing team of writers and creators to capture the diverse cultural movements shaping modern Indian music.

Chaudhuri’s career spans influential roles at Spotify, Film Companion, The Times of India, and RPSG Digital Media, where she consistently demonstrated an ability to anticipate cultural trends and scale digital communities. Her expertise in harnessing modern digital capabilities to build enduring platforms positions her as a pivotal figure in Billboard India’s growth.

Priyanka Khimani, who spearheaded Billboard India’s launch, welcomed the appointment, noting Chaudhuri’s rare combination of editorial judgement and technical awareness. “Mohini’s philosophy that high-quality, tasteful journalism is the ultimate builder of brand equity aligns perfectly with our vision,” Khimani said.

Chaudhuri expressed her excitement at joining the leadership team, emphasising the platform’s role at the epicentre of India’s cultural renaissance. “Even in a highly data-driven world, editorial integrity, effective storytelling, and a genuine commitment to platform artists are what ultimately forge long-term brand authority,” she said.

Her appointment follows the recent addition of Preeti Nayyar as Chief Operating Officer, underscoring Billboard India’s commitment to strengthening its executive layer. Together, the leadership team aims to drive commercial growth while maintaining premium editorial standards that serve artists, brands, and fans alike.

Billboard India, launched in partnership with Other Side Ventures Pvt. Ltd., brings the globally recognised brand’s editorial content, charts, lists, awards, and multimedia experiences to India, celebrating the country’s rich and diverse music ecosystem while bridging Indian artists with global audiences.

Billboard India has appointed Mohini Chaudhuri as Content Strategy Director, strengthening its leadership team after the recent addition of COO Preeti Nayyar. With 18 years of experience across journalism and digital media, Chaudhuri will lead editorial tone and digital strategy, positioning Billboard India as the definitive voice of India’s music ecosystem.
