PORTO ROCHA and Google DeepMind have unveiled YOYOYO, a project powered by Nano Banana Pro models to create a brand and 3D product entirely from scratch. The result is a playful yet sophisticated design object, demonstrating how craft and scale can merge seamlessly through collaboration between technology and creativity.

In a striking collaboration between creative studio PORTO ROCHA and Google DeepMind, a new project named YOYOYO has emerged as a bold experiment in design and artificial intelligence. The initiative set out to explore how advanced AI models could be harnessed not only to generate ideas but to bring a fully realised product into existence.

At the heart of the project lies the Nano Banana Pro model, a cutting-edge system deployed to develop both the brand identity and the three-dimensional product design from the ground up. This was not simply an exercise in digital prototyping; it was a deliberate attempt to test whether AI could meaningfully contribute to the full lifecycle of a product, from concept to tangible object.

The outcome is YOYOYO, a playful creation that straddles the line between toy and design artefact. While its form invites interaction and amusement, its deeper significance lies in the way it embodies a modern design experience. It is proof that artificial intelligence, when paired with human creativity, can produce results that are not only functional but also culturally resonant.

For PORTO ROCHA, the project represents a continuation of its ethos of blending storytelling with design. By working with Google DeepMind, the studio was able to push beyond traditional boundaries, allowing algorithms to participate in the creative process while maintaining a strong sense of craft. The collaboration demonstrates that scale and precision, often associated with technology, can coexist with the tactile and emotional qualities of design.

YOYOYO is more than a product; it is a statement about the future of creative industries. It suggests that AI can be a partner in design rather than a replacement, offering new ways to experiment, iterate, and refine ideas. The playful nature of the object underscores the importance of joy and curiosity in innovation, reminding us that technology need not strip creativity of its human touch.

As AI continues to permeate the creative sector, projects like YOYOYO highlight the potential for collaboration between designers and machines. They show that when guided by vision and craft, technology can help scale ideas without sacrificing individuality. YOYOYO stands as both a toy and a testament: a small but significant step towards a future where design and AI are inseparable companions.
