IG Group has appointed Tina Gupta as head of marketing for Singapore, tasking her with driving customer growth and supporting commercial strategy. Gupta, formerly with JLL and American Express, said she is excited to join a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment as the company invests heavily in people, products and technology.
Global online trading platform IG Group has named Tina Gupta as head of marketing for Singapore, underscoring its ambition to accelerate growth in the market. Gupta will lead the Singapore marketing team, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, engagement and revenue across the customer lifecycle, while supporting IG’s broader commercial growth strategy.
In a LinkedIn post announcing her appointment, Gupta described IG as being “at the helm of organisational transformation and exponential growth”, highlighting the company’s sizeable investments in people, product and technology. She said she was excited to join a fast-paced environment “constantly building, testing and evolving”, adding that the role represents the next stage of her professional journey.
Gupta emphasised her enthusiasm for contributing to IG’s expansion in Singapore, noting the firm’s agility and entrepreneurial spirit. “To be a part of this journey and have a chance to make meaningful contribution excites me the most,” she said. Having worked for mature businesses previously, she added that she values the entrepreneurial mindset this role might foster.
She joins IG Group from JLL, where she was head of marketing for Asia Pacific, leading regional strategy for the Capital Markets business. Prior to that, she spent over seven years at American Express in Singapore, driving growth and performance marketing initiatives, after establishing the Financial Times’ B2B marketing function across Asia.
Reflecting on lessons from her career, Gupta said she intends to lean on being “a commercially astute marketer and a people-first leader” as she takes on her new position. Her appointment comes amid a wave of senior marketing moves in the financial services sector, including UOB’s hiring of former Lazada Group CMO Marcus Chew and DBS’s appointment of former VML APAC co-CEO Audrey Kuah earlier this year.
