Takamaka has launched Kreol Cask Reserve Dark Rum, the fifth expression in its St Andre Series. Crafted at La Plaine St André, the blend combines Seychellois rum with Caribbean rum aged in American oak. Bottled at 40.3% ABV, it offers rich flavours and reflects Seychelles’ Creole heritage.
Takamaka, the Seychelles-based rum brand, has unveiled the latest addition to its premium St Andre Series with the launch of Kreol Cask Reserve Dark Rum. This marks the fifth expression in the series and represents another milestone for Trois Frères Distillery as it continues to build its reputation for producing innovative premium blends.
Crafted at La Plaine St André, the home of Takamaka Rum, the new release blends the brand’s own molasses-based rum with an eight-year-old Caribbean rum matured in American oak barrels. Designed as a sipping rum, it offers a balanced profile that bridges traditional rum-making with modern blending techniques.
Bottled at 40.3 per cent ABV, Kreol Cask Reserve Dark Rum delivers aromas and flavours of brown sugar, roasted coffee, cacao and oak, culminating in a smooth, lingering finish. The expression has been created by Takamaka’s Master Blender, Steven Rioux, and further strengthens the brand’s premium St Andre Series portfolio.
As Seychelles continues to attract discerning travellers from around the world, Takamaka remains one of the country’s most authentic exports, offering a genuine taste of the islands’ Creole heritage in every bottle. The launch underscores the brand’s ambition to position itself firmly within the global premium rum category while celebrating its island roots.
