Toyota Motor Asia has launched Move Your World Beat, a cultural initiative with VIRTUE Asia that unites musicians from six countries to create original tracks using Toyota sounds. The TikTok-led programme celebrates diversity, collaboration and empowerment, culminating in a regional collective beat that embodies progress through music and shared identity.
Toyota Motor Asia has unveiled Move Your World Beat, a new cultural initiative created with VIRTUE Asia, designed to extend its Move Your World brand platform into the realm of music. Announced in Singapore on 11 August 2026, the project positions music as a universal language of progress, empowerment and collective identity across Asia.
At its core, Move Your World Beat is more than a campaign; it is a living platform where Toyota provides the stage and Asia’s creators take the lead. The initiative brings together established musicians and emerging talents from across the region, encouraging collaboration, experimentation and cultural expression through contemporary music. By bridging heritage and innovation, Toyota aims to inspire communities to move forward together, not just physically but emotionally and culturally.
The launch has been driven by a TikTok-led creator programme, featuring a diverse line-up of artists from six countries. Among them are Malaysia’s multi-instrumentalist and DJ Belle Sisoski, Pakistan’s musician and ethnomusicologist Natasha Noorani, Filipino indie folk pop duo Miguel and Paolo Benjamin of Ben&Ben, Singaporean singer-songwriter and producer Shye, Thai-Italian artist Valentina Ploy, and Vietnamese DJ and producer 2pillz. Each has been tasked with producing original music using the sounds of a Toyota vehicle — from clicks and hums to engineered tones — reimagined through their unique styles.
This creative process transforms functional automotive sounds into artistic expression, underscoring Toyota’s belief that movement is not confined to physical journeys but extends to cultural and emotional ones. Each track reflects both individual artistry and shared identity, contributing to a collective body of work that celebrates Asia’s diversity while uniting it through music.
The initiative will culminate in the release of a regional collective beat later this year, blending the talents of all participating artists into a single collaboration designed to resonate across Asia. This collective piece embodies Toyota’s vision of progress through unity, reinforcing its commitment to communities across the region.
Jonathan Tan, account director at VIRTUE Asia, emphasised the participatory nature of the project: “By leveraging TikTok and engaging musical creators, Move Your World Beat is a brand platform built for cultural participation and collaboration. Instead of speaking at audiences, we’re creating a system where culture is co-created, building a living ecosystem that evolves through shared ownership.”
Jaja Ishibashi, general manager at Toyota Motor Asia, highlighted the company’s broader mission: “At its heart, Move Your World is about Toyota’s commitment to communities in Asia, the freedom to move, and the joy of moving forward together. With Move Your World Beat, we bring that same spirit to music, a universal language that unites our communities. By supporting creators and bringing different voices together, we hope to inspire new forms of expression and show that when we move together, we can create something greater than any one of us could achieve alone.”
Through this initiative, Toyota is not only reinforcing its brand values but also investing in cultural creativity, positioning itself as a facilitator of collective progress across Asia’s vibrant and diverse music scene.
