Cornish craft brewery Dynamite Valley has unveiled a striking new identity created by Kingdom & Sparrow. Rooted in heritage yet boldly modern, the rebrand introduces a central emblem, disciplined typography and earthy colour palettes. Launching alongside new taproom spaces, the refreshed look positions Dynamite Valley as a confident, nationally ambitious brand.

When Cornish craft brewery Dynamite Valley first partnered with Kingdom & Sparrow in 2015, the collaboration produced a distinctive brand identity that quickly became a hallmark of its independent spirit. Illustrated bottle wraps and a hand-crafted aesthetic gave the brewery a personality that resonated with drinkers in a rapidly expanding craft beer market.

A decade later, with new ownership and fresh ambition, Dynamite Valley has once again turned to the independent branding agency to evolve its identity. The timing coincides with the opening of two new mini taproom and events spaces in Penryn and Falmouth, signalling a new chapter for the brewery. The result is a comprehensive redesign that respects heritage while projecting confidence and clarity for the future.

At the centre of the new identity lies a bold emblem inspired by Kennall Vale’s industrial past and its 19th-century gunpowder works. The logo features three viaduct arches symbolising the three new owners, a spark device referencing the brewery’s explosive namesake, and a geometric construction reflecting the natural landscape beneath the viaduct. This emblem anchors the brand in local provenance while offering a modern, scalable mark.

Typography has also been reimagined. Kingdom & Sparrow developed a custom system that retains craft character but introduces structural discipline, improving legibility and hierarchy across packaging. The new colour palette draws on earthy, natural tones, harmonised with Foam White and Gunpowder Black for standout presence. Each beer variant is distinguished by accent colours that not only differentiate but also echo flavour profiles, creating a cohesive yet expressive range.

Textures gathered from the Kennall Vale landscape, a disciplined grid system and clear brand hierarchy across core and seasonal ranges further strengthen the identity. Beyond packaging, the system extends into taproom environments, events and merchandise, ensuring flexibility and scalability as Dynamite Valley grows.

The redesigned identity debuted with the opening of the Gray’s Wharf taproom, immersing visitors in the new brand world and reinforcing local connection. For Dynamite Valley, the rebrand is more than a visual refresh; it positions the brewery as a confident Cornish brand with national potential, balancing respect for its roots with a bold statement of intent.

Kingdom & Sparrow’s work demonstrates the power of strategic design in elevating independent breweries. By creating a system that is authentic, ambitious and future-facing, the agency has helped Dynamite Valley redefine its presence in a competitive craft landscape.
