Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has appointed independent creative agency Sweatshop as its global social agency of record after a closed-door pitch. Effective mid-July 2026, Sweatshop will oversee Scoot’s social strategy, creative development, content creation, community management and campaigns across international markets, excluding China.

Scoot, the budget arm of Singapore Airlines, has handed its global social media reins to Sweatshop, an independent creative agency, following a competitive closed-door pitch. The appointment, which took effect in mid-July 2026, marks a significant step in the airline’s ambition to strengthen its digital presence across international markets.

Sweatshop’s remit covers the full spectrum of social media responsibilities, including global strategy, creative development, content creation, community management and the execution of social-first campaigns. The agency will support Scoot across major platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X, ensuring the airline’s brand voice resonates with diverse audiences worldwide.

The partnership excludes China, where Scoot operates under a separate social media framework tailored to local platforms and regulations. By consolidating its global social mandate under Sweatshop, Scoot aims to drive consistency in brand storytelling while adapting to the nuances of regional markets.

For Sweatshop, the win represents a high-profile addition to its portfolio, positioning the agency at the forefront of aviation sector marketing. The collaboration underscores the growing importance of social-first strategies in the travel industry, where airlines are increasingly turning to digital platforms to engage with younger, mobile-first consumers.

Scoot’s decision reflects a broader trend among carriers to invest in creative, agile partners capable of navigating fragmented consumer journeys and delivering content that cuts through the clutter. With Sweatshop now steering its global social presence, Scoot is expected to intensify its focus on innovative campaigns that blend entertainment, community engagement and brand loyalty.
