BEI Confluence has announced the elevation of Abhishek Gupta to Managing Director, effective August 2026. Founder Tapas Gupta steps down after 27 years, continuing as Chairman and mentor. Abhishek will lead the agency’s next phase of growth, focusing on integrated capabilities, talent development, client partnerships and adapting to evolving industry dynamics.
BEI Confluence, one of North India’s leading independent integrated agencies, has confirmed the appointment of Abhishek Gupta as Managing Director, effective August 2026. The move marks a significant leadership transition for the Delhi NCR‑based agency, which has built a reputation over 27 years for delivering integrated solutions to some of India’s most recognised brands.
Abhishek Gupta will now lead the agency and its operations, reporting directly to the Board. His mandate includes strengthening BEI Confluence’s integrated capabilities, nurturing talent, deepening client partnerships and driving the next phase of growth. He succeeds Tapas Gupta, Founder and Chairman, who has stepped down from his role as Managing Director after nearly three decades of stewardship. Tapas will continue as Chairman and mentor, focusing on long‑term growth and consolidation.
Reflecting on the transition, Tapas Gupta said: “At BEI Confluence, change has always been a constant. Over the past decade, Abhishek has brought fresh thinking and new perspectives to the agency through his leadership. He has played an important role in helping us evolve from our traditional advertising roots into an integrated agency equipped for the changing needs of brands.”
He added: “Abhishek has a strong track record of building brands across categories, both at BEI Confluence and during his earlier tenures at Havas, Publicis Worldwide and Ogilvy. His experience working with brands such as Coca‑Cola, Nestlé and Philips, combined with his strategic vision, energy and commitment, gives me great confidence in the agency’s next chapter under his leadership.”
Abhishek Gupta brings over two decades of experience spanning brand strategy, digital marketing and business leadership. Speaking about his new role, he said: “What makes this journey meaningful is the quality of the people and partnerships around us. We have a committed team that consistently goes the extra mile, and clients who have placed their trust in us over many years. I am deeply grateful to both.”
He further emphasised the importance of adaptability in a fast‑changing industry: “Our focus will remain on building strong brands, nurturing talent and creating an environment in which both can grow. We also recognise that our industry never stands still. As consumer behaviour, technology and the media landscape continue to evolve, we must keep adapting while staying grounded in strategic thinking, creative quality and the value we deliver to our clients.”
Founded 27 years ago, BEI Confluence has established itself as a trusted partner for a wide portfolio of brands and organisations including Radico Khaitan, J.K. Organisation, Sujata, WonderWorks, Insecticides (India) Limited, LOTTE India, Devyani International (Biryani By Kilo), TotalEnergies, Birla Group, Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Limited (Cremica & English Oven), and Trident Group.
