Bench Media has promoted Jessica Torstensson to General Manager – Growth, recognising her impact since joining as Client Growth Director. With over 20 years’ industry experience, she will lead growth strategy, client partnerships and market presence. Her promotion reflects Bench’s commitment to strategic expansion, client trust and talent development.

Independent full-service media agency Bench Media has announced the promotion of Jessica Torstensson to General Manager – Growth, recognising her significant impact since joining the agency as Client Growth Director in November 2025. In her expanded role, Torstensson will oversee Bench’s growth strategy, integrating client strategy, senior partnerships, new business and market presence, while working closely with the leadership team to strengthen the agency’s full-service offering and support client growth.

Bench Media’s CEO and Co-founder, Ori Gold, said the promotion reflects Torstensson’s contribution to strategy, client relationships and overall growth. “Jess has made a real impact on the way we approach client strategy. She challenges our thinking, brings a clearer understanding of our clients’ businesses and helps turn that into stronger recommendations. She’s also helped raise Bench’s profile and shape the next stage of our growth,” Gold said. He added that Torstensson’s leadership style has earned respect from both clients and colleagues, noting her ability to provide direct answers, share experience generously and foster talent development. “Giving her a broader role recognises that contribution and gives her more scope to shape our strategy and support our people,” he concluded.

Torstensson brings more than two decades of experience in media and marketing, having held senior roles at Atomic 212°, CHEP and OMD. Since joining Bench, she has played a pivotal role in building senior client relationships, driving new business momentum and nurturing the agency’s next generation of talent. Reflecting on her journey, she said: “What drew me to Bench was the chance to help ambitious brands grow with a team that cares deeply about the work and the people behind it. Over the past year, I’ve seen how much we can achieve when we bring strong strategy, honest client relationships and great people together. I’m proud of the momentum we’ve built and excited to take on a bigger role in where we go next. That means continuing to win the trust of clients, investing in our team and making sure our growth creates real opportunities for both.”

Her leadership has already been instrumental in key developments. In the past year, Bench has secured new clients including Hisense and Prospa across ANZ, while expanding its Bikes Online remit into the US. Under Torstensson’s guidance, the agency also launched Bench Lens, a research and audience intelligence offering designed to help clients better understand audiences, test assumptions and make informed channel choices. Beyond her role at Bench, Torstensson founded The Room Collective earlier this year, an Australian community for women working across media, marketing and publishing, further underscoring her commitment to industry development and inclusivity.

Torstensson’s promotion signals Bench Media’s continued investment in senior leadership and strategic growth, positioning the agency to deliver stronger outcomes for clients while fostering a culture of collaboration and talent development. With her blend of strategic acumen, client focus and people-first leadership, she is set to play a defining role in shaping the agency’s next chapter.
