The Advertising Club has announced its Managing Committee for 2026–27, re-electing Dheeraj Sinha, CEO of McCann India, as President for a second term. Sinha pledged to amplify TAC’s transformation, blending legacy with diversity and innovation, as the organisation positions itself as a beacon for India’s evolving advertising and marketing industry.
The Advertising Club (TAC) has announced its Managing Committee for the 2026–2027 fiscal year, following the organisation’s 72nd Annual General Meeting held in Mumbai. Dheeraj Sinha, Chief Executive Officer of McCann India, part of Omnicom Advertising India, has been re-elected as President of The Advertising Club for a second consecutive term, underscoring his continued influence in shaping the future of India’s advertising and marketing industry.
The new Managing Committee reflects the breadth and diversity of the country’s communications ecosystem, bringing together senior leaders and professionals from advertising, media, marketing, digital and allied fields. This collective leadership is expected to strengthen TAC’s role as a unifying platform for the industry, fostering collaboration and innovation at a time when the sector is undergoing rapid transformation.
Commenting on his re-election, Sinha emphasised the balance of legacy and change that has defined his leadership. “Over the past year, we started the journey of transforming The Advertising Club on the principle of change with continuity, keeping the legacy of seven decades of TAC, while evolving it for the new times. We brought greater diversity to the Club, with members and voices from across marketing, media and the wider ecosystem and upgraded our events,” he said.
Sinha highlighted the repositioning of TAC as a beacon for an industry at the cusp of transformation. “This was also the year we re-envisioned our positioning that establishes The Advertising Club as a beacon for an industry at the cusp of transformation. For us, 2026-27 will be the year to amplify this momentum and lead the industry through this change with a strong, collective voice, bringing together the diversity of perspectives and experiences that will shape its next chapter,” he added.
Under his stewardship, TAC has sought to modernise its events and initiatives, ensuring they remain relevant to the evolving needs of the industry. The emphasis on diversity and inclusivity has broadened the Club’s reach, allowing it to represent a wider spectrum of professionals and perspectives. This approach has been widely welcomed, as it aligns with the industry’s growing recognition of the importance of varied voices in driving creativity and innovation.
The re-election of Sinha signals continuity in leadership at a critical juncture for the advertising and marketing sector. With digital transformation reshaping consumer behaviour and brand engagement, TAC’s role as a forum for dialogue, knowledge-sharing and recognition of excellence has become increasingly vital. The Managing Committee’s composition, representing multiple facets of the ecosystem, is expected to provide the necessary depth and dynamism to navigate these changes.
