BREVILLE STRIKES A GLOBAL CHORD WITH COFFEE SYMPHONY

Breville has unveiled its global campaign ‘Because Great Coffee Matters’, created by Emotive, with a launch film scored by Rumble and performed by Sydney’s Metropolitan Orchestra. The work dramatises the sensory joy of coffee, positioning Breville as the brand that transforms everyday rituals into extraordinary experiences through engineering and artistry.

Breville has raised the curtain on a new global category campaign, ‘Because Great Coffee Matters’, created by independent agency Emotive, which celebrates the transformative power of a perfectly brewed cup. In a market where convenience and ease are expected, the brand is making a bold case for taste as the true measure of value.

The campaign’s central idea is simple yet resonant: everyday life is filled with routine moments, but when coffee is done properly, it becomes a circuit breaker. The anticipation, aroma, sound and taste can elevate an ordinary morning into something memorable. Yet, while consumers love great coffee, many remain hesitant about making it themselves, assuming barista-level skill is required. Breville’s campaign seeks to shift that perception, inspiring confidence and showing that something glorious is within reach every morning.

This thought is brought vividly to life in the launch film, ‘Glorious Coffee’. With an original score composed by award-winning sound studio Rumble and performed live on set by a 25-piece ensemble from Sydney’s Metropolitan Orchestra, the film builds in tandem with the coffee-making process. Every grind, dose, extraction and pour drives the music towards its crescendo, mirroring the sensory crescendo of a perfect cup.

The orchestral performance gives scale to a familiar feeling: when coffee is just right, it transcends being a caffeine hit and becomes a small moment of pure enjoyment. Breville positions this as a symphony of the senses, hiding in plain sight each morning.

The campaign launches globally across a full ecosystem of work, including the hero film, consideration films, social carousels, behind-the-scenes content and always-on social. All executions are united by the belief that great coffee matters.

Noel Burchill, General Manager, Global Brand at Breville, said: “We believe great coffee has the power to make everyday moments extraordinary. For more than 90 years, Breville has combined engineering expertise with a focus on what matters most: great-tasting coffee. Our espresso machines are built on the same principles as professional machines. This campaign brings that belief to the heart of our brand around the world.”

Gavin McLeod, Chief Creative Officer at Emotive, added: “There’s this tiny moment in the morning when everything else can disappear. The coffee smells right, sounds right, tastes right and, for a few minutes, life is pretty glorious. We wanted to make that feeling impossible to miss. So we gave it a 25-piece orchestra.”

Kyra Bartley of COUSIN, who directed the campaign, said: “Giving every tiny step of making a coffee its own live orchestral moment is gloriously over the top, which is exactly why I loved it. Shaping that with 25 incredible musicians, in a beautifully crafted set that felt like a little world of its own, made it a really special one to be part of.”

Created by Emotive, produced by COUSIN, and set to roll out across Breville | Sage markets through 2026 and beyond, the campaign underscores the brand’s ambition to make great coffee not just accessible, but unforgettable.
