Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has unveiled a draft Reliance AI Manifesto, outlining a bold plan to transform the conglomerate into an AI-native deep-tech enterprise. Speaking at the Reliance AI Conclave, Ambani described artificial intelligence as “the most consequential technological development in human history,” emphasizing the group’s commitment to leading India’s AI revolution.

The manifesto outlines three key pillars: building AI infrastructure, developing AI applications, and empowering India’s AI ecosystem. Reliance aims to drive a tenfold improvement in productivity for over 6 lakh employees and create a 10x impact on India’s economy and society. Ambani emphasized the group’s resolve to deliver “Affordable AI for every Indian,” embedding AI across businesses while ensuring safety, trust, and accountability.

Reliance plans to leverage its telecom and retail infrastructure to create AI applications in healthcare, education, agriculture, and governance. The company is also working on developing large language models in Indian languages, with Ambani highlighting the importance of making AI accessible to those with limited English proficiency.

The AI manifesto aligns with India’s broader vision to become a global AI leader, positioning Reliance as a key player in shaping the country’s AI landscape. With its vast consumer base and infrastructure, Reliance aims to harness AI’s potential to drive growth, efficiency, and innovation across sectors.

Ambani’s vision for AI extends beyond business, focusing on creating a future where technology enhances everyday life for millions. The draft manifesto invites collaboration, emphasizing the need for collective action to ensure AI benefits all Indians.
