Ltd. has announced the appointment of Rohini Laya Venkateswaran as its new executive director, a move that underscores the company’s focus on strengthening its presence in the grooming and personal care category. Venkateswaran brings more than twenty years of experience with Procter & Gamble (P&G), where she currently serves as chief sales officer for the Indian Subcontinent. Over the course of her career, she has held several senior leadership positions, including vice president and country manager for the East Gulf region and vice president – sales strategy and planning. In these roles, she led sales strategy, marketing initiatives and commercial operations across diverse markets.
Her career has also been marked by close involvement in brand development and market expansion for products such as Olay and Old Spice, giving her a strong foundation in both sales leadership and brand growth. This blend of expertise positions her to contribute significantly to Gillette India’s ambitions in a highly competitive sector.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Venkateswaran holds an MBA in Marketing from the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, further reinforcing her credentials as a seasoned leader in consumer goods.
