Gillette India Pvt. Ltd. has appointed Rohini Laya Venkateswaran as executive director to steer strategic priorities and growth in grooming and personal care. With over two decades at Procter & Gamble, she brings extensive leadership experience across sales, brand development, and market expansion, strengthening Gillette’s position in India’s competitive sector.  

Gillette India Pvt. Ltd. has announced the appointment of Rohini Laya Venkateswaran as its new executive director, a move that underscores the company’s focus on strengthening its presence in the grooming and personal care category. In her new role, Venkateswaran will help guide strategic priorities and support the brand’s growth trajectory in India.  

Venkateswaran brings more than twenty years of experience with Procter & Gamble (P&G), where she currently serves as chief sales officer for the Indian Subcontinent. Over the course of her career, she has held several senior leadership positions, including vice president and country manager for the East Gulf region and vice president – sales strategy and planning. In these roles, she led sales strategy, marketing initiatives and commercial operations across diverse markets.  

Her career has also been marked by close involvement in brand development and market expansion for products such as Olay and Old Spice, giving her a strong foundation in both sales leadership and brand growth. This blend of expertise positions her to contribute significantly to Gillette India’s ambitions in a highly competitive sector.  

According to her LinkedIn profile, Venkateswaran holds an MBA in Marketing from the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, further reinforcing her credentials as a seasoned leader in consumer goods.  

Her appointment reflects Gillette India’s commitment to leveraging experienced leadership to drive innovation and expand its footprint in the grooming and personal care industry.
