Famous Innovations has appointed Senthil Kumar as Managing Partner and Chief Creative Officer, Bengaluru, with the celebrated creative leader also joining the agency as a partner. Kumar’s move from a global network to an independent agency marks a shift from leading departments to building a business as an owner.
Famous Innovations has announced the appointment of Senthil Kumar as Managing Partner and Chief Creative Officer, Bengaluru, in a move that signals both creative ambition and entrepreneurial intent. Kumar, one of India’s most awarded advertising leaders, also joins the agency as a partner, underscoring his commitment to shaping the future of independent creativity.
Kumar’s decision to leave a global creative network for Famous Innovations reflects a significant career pivot. After 25 years at JWT and its successor networks Wunderman Thompson and VML, where he most recently served as Chief Creative Officer for a decade, he now steps into a role that blends creative leadership with ownership. The transition highlights his shift from running a creative department to building an agency business with independence at its core.
Over the course of his career, Kumar has amassed an extraordinary record of achievement. His portfolio includes 27 Cannes Lions, 24 D&AD Pencils, multiple One Show Gold Pencils and more than 300 international awards. His campaigns have spanned global and Indian brands alike, from Nike and Levi’s to Google, Pepsi, The Times of India, Unilever, Tata and Star Sports, cementing his reputation as one of the industry’s most influential creative voices.
Speaking about his new role, Kumar said: “Famous has always been a maverick — independent, fearless and built on the belief that a great idea can come from anywhere and go everywhere. I’m not here to run a creative department; I’m here to build, as a partner and an owner, and to make work that doesn’t just win in the room but moves the world outside it.”
Raj Kamble, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Famous Innovations, welcomed Kumar’s arrival with equal enthusiasm. “Senthil and I have each spent 25 years chasing the same thing — ideas that make people feel something. What excites me most is that he joins us as a partner, an entrepreneur, an owner who will build a business the way only a founder can. That hunger to build, and not just to make ads, is exactly what Famous is made of. Watch this space.”
The appointment positions Famous Innovations to strengthen its creative leadership in Bengaluru while reinforcing its independent ethos. With Kumar’s track record and Kamble’s vision, the agency is poised to deliver work that resonates both locally and globally, combining entrepreneurial drive with creative excellence.
