With 1,734 participants across 68+ locations, the initiative honoured his legacy of social service, reinforcing TCI’s commitment to community welfare, healthcare and humanitarian values.

Transport Corporation of India (TCI), one of India’s foremost integrated logistics and supply chain providers, has reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian values with a nationwide blood donation drive held in memory of its Founder, Shri Prabhu Dayal Agarwal Ji (Shri PD Ji). The seven-day campaign, conducted from 14th to 20th September 2026, brought together employees and associates across the country in a collective act of service.

The initiative saw the participation of 1,734 individuals, including 1,641 men and 93 women, from more than 68 locations nationwide. Blood donation camps were organised in major cities such as Kolkata, Gurugram, Rajkot, Delhi, Chandigarh, Pune, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Ludhiana, Noida, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Prayagraj, Patna, Varanasi, Mumbai, Haridwar and Ahmedabad, among others. The scale of the campaign underscored TCI’s ability to mobilise its workforce for a cause that directly supports patients and healthcare institutions across India.

The drive commemorated the enduring legacy of Shri PD Ji, widely remembered as a pioneer of the Indian transport and logistics industry. Beyond revolutionising the logistics landscape, his contributions extended to social welfare, healthcare, education and women’s empowerment. His association with healthcare initiatives, including the establishment of some of India’s earliest private blood banks, reflected his belief in giving back to society and supporting communities in meaningful ways.

Building on this vision, TCI’s annual blood donation drive has become a cornerstone of its corporate social responsibility efforts. By encouraging employees and associates to participate, the organisation fosters a culture of service and responsibility that transcends business objectives. The campaign not only honours the values of its Founder but also creates opportunities for individuals within the company to make a tangible difference to society.

The initiative highlights TCI’s broader commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. With a legacy spanning over 68 years, the group has consistently demonstrated its dedication to value creation for stakeholders while maintaining strong governance standards. Its efforts in healthcare, education and community service complement its role as a leader in logistics, reinforcing the idea that corporate success must be measured not only in financial terms but also in the positive impact created for society.

Transport Corporation of India today operates with annual revenues exceeding Rs.4965 crore, a network of company-owned offices worldwide, and over 17 million square feet of warehousing space. Serving industries ranging from automobiles and energy to healthcare, retail and defence, the group continues to combine customer-centric solutions with a technology-driven approach. Yet, initiatives such as the blood donation drive demonstrate that TCI’s vision remains firmly rooted in the values of its Founder, ensuring that progress is achieved in harmony with community welfare.

As the campaign concluded, the message was clear: TCI’s legacy is not only about logistics excellence but also about compassion, responsibility and service. By uniting its people in a cause that saves lives, the organisation has once again shown that its strength lies not just in moving goods across the nation, but in moving hearts towards collective action.
