World Whisky Day honours craftsmanship and indulgence with five collectible labels that embody heritage, rarity and refined artistry. From India’s pioneering Amrut Fusion and Paul John Bold to DŌAAB’s Mizunara-aged rarity, Diageo’s sustainable Godawan, and Dewar’s 12 Year Old Scotch, these whiskies elevate connoisseurship and define timeless luxury.

As World Whisky Day shines a spotlight on the artistry of fine spirits, five collectible whisky labels stand out as icons of luxury, craftsmanship and heritage. These expressions are more than drinks; they are statement pieces for discerning collectors and connoisseurs, representing the pinnacle of indulgence and cultural storytelling.

India’s Amrut has long been a pioneer in single malt whisky, redefining perceptions of Indian spirits globally. Produced in Bengaluru, Amrut Fusion blends Indian barley with peated Scottish barley, creating a distinctive East-meets-West character. Matured in tropical conditions, it develops remarkable depth and complexity, with smoky, fruity and spicy notes that have earned international acclaim.

Equally rare is DŌAAB Expression 02, a limited-edition Indian single malt inspired by a Japanese fable. With only 500 casks produced, it is matured in Mizunara oak from Hokkaido, delivering subtle umami richness and delicate floral layers. Crafted from indigenous six-row barley, it embodies patience, heritage and artistry, appealing to collectors who value rarity and authenticity.

From Goa, Paul John Bold reflects India’s growing reputation in premium spirits. Bottled at 46% ABV, this peated single malt balances smoky depth with sweetness, offering notes of honey, spice, oak and mocha. Its adventurous spirit and international accolades have helped strengthen India’s presence in the global whisky market.

Diageo India’s Godawan is an artisanal single malt inspired by Rajasthan’s ecology and heritage. Named after the endangered Great Indian Bustard, it celebrates “beauty in scarcity” with sustainable practices and desert climate maturation. Its distinctive process, including slow-trickle distillation and cask finishing with Indian botanicals, makes it both a premium spirit and a symbol of conservation.

Completing the collection is Dewar’s 12 Year Old, a premium blended Scotch crafted from around 30 single malt and grain whiskies. Double-aged and finished in bourbon casks, it offers smooth complexity with notes of vanilla, citrus, orchard fruits and butterscotch. Recognised globally, it remains a refined favourite among enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
