boAt Lifestyle has promoted Vedansh Kumar to Chief Marketing Officer, marking a significant leadership transition at the audio and wearables brand. Kumar, who joined boAt in 2023 as Head of Brand Marketing, brings extensive experience in brand architecture, portfolio strategy, and creative leadership from roles at Zomato and leading agencies.

boAt Lifestyle has announced the elevation of Vedansh Kumar to Chief Marketing Officer, underscoring the company’s commitment to strengthening its marketing leadership as it continues to expand its presence in India’s competitive audio and wearables market. Kumar shared the news in a LinkedIn post, reflecting on his journey with the brand and signalling a new chapter in its marketing strategy.  

Kumar joined boAt in August 2023 as Head of Brand Marketing, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s brand narrative and consumer engagement. His promotion comes at a time when boAt is consolidating its position as one of India’s most recognised lifestyle technology brands, known for its strong community-driven approach and collaborations across music, sport, and fashion.  

With a career spanning advertising, creative strategy, and brand building, Kumar brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. His professional experience covers brand architecture, portfolio strategy, premiumisation, creator ecosystems, and go-to-market execution—skills that align closely with boAt’s ambitions to scale its brand across diverse consumer segments. Before joining boAt, Kumar served as Creative Lead at Zomato, where he contributed to the food-tech giant’s distinctive brand voice and digital campaigns.  

Earlier in his career, Kumar held leadership positions at agencies including Dentsu Impact, Humour Me, and MullenLowe Lintas Group. These roles helped him build a strong foundation in integrated marketing, creative storytelling, and consumer-centric brand building. His trajectory reflects a blend of agency and brand-side experience, equipping him with the ability to navigate both strategic and creative dimensions of marketing.  

As Chief Marketing Officer, Kumar is expected to drive boAt’s next phase of growth by deepening consumer connections, expanding the brand’s portfolio, and reinforcing its cultural relevance. His appointment also highlights boAt’s emphasis on nurturing internal talent and recognising leadership that has contributed to its rapid rise in India’s lifestyle technology sector.
