Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi has achieved a Guinness World Records title for hosting the most waterslides in a water park, with 55 in total. The milestone follows a major expansion, cementing its reputation as a global leader in aquatic entertainment and a premier destination for thrill-seekers worldwide.

Yas Waterworld, the flagship water park on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, has been officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the water park with the most waterslides. Owned and operated by Miral, the attraction now boasts an extraordinary collection of 55 slides, ranging from the UAE’s tallest waterslide to adrenaline-fuelled racing slides. This achievement underscores Yas Waterworld’s growing reputation as a world-class destination for aquatic adventure.

The record was celebrated during a special ceremony at the park, where Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, group CEO of Miral, and Rayan Al Haddar, general manager of Yas Waterworld, received the Guinness World Records certificate from Hanane Spiers, the official adjudicator for the MENA region and Türkiye. The recognition was hailed as a landmark moment for Yas Island, further elevating its status as a hub for entertainment and leisure in the region.

“With a record-breaking collection of 55 waterslides, Yas Waterworld continues to strengthen its position as a leading global water park, offering unforgettable experiences for families, friends, and thrill-seekers alike,” said Al Zaabi, reflecting the pride and ambition behind the achievement. The park’s diverse offerings ensure that visitors of all ages can enjoy a mix of exhilarating rides and family-friendly attractions.

The Guinness World Record comes on the heels of Yas Waterworld’s recent expansion, which introduced 11 new rides, slides and attractions. This development has brought the park’s total number of attractions to more than 70, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and guest satisfaction. The expansion not only enhances the variety of experiences available but also demonstrates Miral’s dedication to maintaining Yas Waterworld’s position at the forefront of global water park entertainment.

Yas Waterworld has long been celebrated for its unique blend of Emirati heritage and cutting-edge design, offering visitors a distinctive cultural and recreational experience. The addition of new attractions and the Guinness World Records accolade further solidify its role as a cornerstone of Yas Island’s tourism portfolio, which includes other renowned destinations such as Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.

As Yas Waterworld continues to evolve, the record-breaking achievement serves as both a testament to its success and a promise of more thrilling experiences to come. For Abu Dhabi, it represents another milestone in its journey to becoming a global tourism powerhouse, attracting visitors from across the world to its shores.
