CENTER FRESH MODERNISES ICONIC PLATFORM WITH A TWIST ON OVERTHINKING

Center Fresh has reimagined its legendary “Zubaan Pe Rakhe Lagaam” campaign with “Dimaag Pe Rakhe Lagaam”, shifting focus from controlling speech to managing thought spirals. Conceptualised by Ogilvy & Mather, the humorous film turns everyday overthinking into relatable comedy, preserving the brand’s legacy while resonating with today’s audience.

Center Fresh has unveiled a fresh chapter in its advertising legacy, evolving one of India’s most iconic campaigns to reflect the anxieties of a generation prone to overthinking. With “Dimaag Pe Rakhe Lagaam”, the brand cleverly modernises its celebrated “Zubaan Pe Rakhe Lagaam” platform, moving the conversation from controlling what we say to managing the irrational spirals of thought that often dominate everyday life.  

The new film captures the humour in overthinking, portraying relatable scenarios where the mind runs wild with exaggerated possibilities. These comic depictions highlight how quickly small concerns can snowball into absurd conclusions, until a burst of Center Fresh gum restores clarity and brings people back to reality. By turning mental clutter into comedy, the campaign resonates with audiences who recognise the universal tendency to overanalyse.
