GLOBAL EYES ON KERALA: GREENSTORM’S JURY OF VISIONARIES

The Greenstorm Global Photography Festival’s international jury, featuring Charlie Waite, Latika Nath, and Nick Hall, adds global credibility to Kerala’s conservation movement. With founder Dileep Narayanan’s vision and UNCCD partnership, the festival blends artistry, authenticity, and purpose, inspiring environmental awareness and action through photography across 177 countries.

The Greenstorm Global Photography Festival has always been about more than images; it is about credibility, artistry, and the power of photography to stir conscience. That credibility is amplified by its international jury, a panel of celebrated photographers whose collective vision ensures the festival’s work resonates far beyond Kerala.

Charlie Waite, one of Britain’s most distinguished landscape photographers, lends his painterly eye and reputation for elevating landscapes into fine art. His presence signals Greenstorm’s seriousness in balancing aesthetic excellence with environmental urgency. Latika Nath, India’s pioneering wildlife photographer and conservationist, brings a fierce advocacy for biodiversity, reminding audiences that conservation is not abstract but deeply personal. Nick Hall, acclaimed for his environmental and cultural landscapes, adds an American perspective, ensuring the festival’s reach is truly global.

Together, these figures form a Grand Jury that does more than select winners; they validate the festival’s mission. Their stature reassures participants that their work is judged not only for technical brilliance but for its ability to move hearts and minds. In an era of synthetic imagery, this jury insists on authenticity, reinforcing Greenstorm’s role as a global conservation movement born in Kerala.

Adding a deeply personal note, Dileep Narayanan, Founder & Managing Trustee of the Greenstorm Foundation, reflects: “I still remember when Greenstorm was a modest idea, a way to get more people to notice the land beneath their feet. Watching it grow into a festival that the UNCCD chooses to platform on a global stage is not something I take lightly, and it is not something I did alone.” Narayanan, who is also Founder & Managing Director of Organic BPS, a brand purpose consultancy, underscores the collective effort behind Greenstorm’s rise.

By assembling such a distinguished panel and combining it with visionary leadership, Greenstorm demonstrates that photography is not just about capturing beauty—it is about shaping narratives that matter. The jury’s international voices echo the festival’s central message: that a single image can awaken global consciousness and inspire action for the planet.
