Lenskart has launched Shunya, a musically-inspired eyewear collection under Indian Accents, celebrating Indian heritage through design. Featuring 37 styles, Shunya draws from Indian instruments and traditions. To mark its debut, Lenskart Live: Sounds of Shunya will stream five evenings of performances by 10 artists from October 8–12 on the Lenskart app.

Lenskart today unveiled Shunya, a new eyewear collection under its Indian Accents family, inspired by the rhythms and traditions of Indian music. The collection translates instruments, motifs and cultural vocabulary into contemporary frames, with 37 styles across eyeglasses and sunglasses. Details inspired by the sitar, flute and lotus bring heritage into modern silhouettes, arriving just ahead of the festive season.

To celebrate Shunya’s launch, Lenskart is introducing Lenskart Live: Sounds of Shunya, a five-day concert series streaming exclusively on the Lenskart app from October 8 to 12, between 7 pm and 8 pm. The format marks the debut of Lenskart Live, designed to bring the stories behind collections to life through immersive experiences. For Shunya, that story begins with Indian music, spanning contemporary bhajans, classical and Carnatic traditions, and modern reinterpretations of traditional sounds.

The line-up reflects India’s diverse musical landscape. Backstage Siblings, Prachi and Raghav Agarwal, pioneers of “bhajan jamming”, will showcase their energetic community sing-alongs. Vocalists include Arunita Kanjilal, Kavya Ajit’s Iham Kavyam Experience, Anushka Gouttam and Vishwajeet Borwankar, moving across acoustic, Sufi, ghazal and contemporary genres. Mahesh Raghvan and Shravan Sridhar bring Carnatic music into an experimental setting with electronic production and electric violin. Instrumentalists Nandini Shankar (violin), Swayam (sitar), Varsh Jain (flute) and Ved Prajapati (tabla) will take audiences through classical traditions and their modern interpretations.

At the heart of Shunya lies a philosophical idea rooted in Indian thought: shunya, or zero, represents the meditative space from which sound and creation emerge. This concept informs the collection’s design, translating rhythm and cultural resonance into wearable art. “Indian music has an incredible ability to evolve while staying connected to its roots. Shunya draws from that same spirit, translating elements of Indian music into contemporary eyewear. With Lenskart Live, we want to take the stories behind our collections beyond the frames and create experiences that people can participate in and enjoy,” said a Lenskart spokesperson.

Shunya joins Indus, another Indian Accents collection celebrating India’s ancient art of metal craftsmanship. Together, these collections highlight Lenskart’s vision of reinterpreting cultural influences through design. With Shunya, the brand bridges heritage and modernity, offering customers eyewear that resonates with India’s musical soul while inviting them to experience its inspiration through live performance.

Lenskart Live: Sounds of Shunya will stream exclusively on the Lenskart app from October 8 to 12, between 7 pm and 8 pm each evening. The Shunya collection is now available across Lenskart stores and on the Lenskart app.
