Lenskart has launched its first concept flagship store, Lenskart evolv, in Mumbai’s Worli district. Designed around the idea of “Vision Beyond Retail”, the immersive space combines advanced technology, fashion and cultural experiences, signalling the eyewear brand’s ambition to redefine how customers discover, experience and express themselves through eyewear.
Lenskart has stepped into a new era of eyewear retail with the launch of Lenskart evolv, its first concept flagship store in India, unveiling the futuristic retail destination in Mumbai’s Worli neighbourhood in the presence of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Peyush Bansal.
Positioned as a pioneering concept that goes beyond the traditional eyewear shopping experience, Lenskart evolv has been created around the philosophy of “Vision Beyond Retail”. The store seeks to transform the way consumers interact with eyewear by placing design, technology, fashion and culture at the centre of the customer journey.
Located at Trade View Utopia City on Pandurang Budhkar Marg, the new flagship introduces what the company describes as a first-of-its-kind concept in the Indian eyewear market. Featuring a striking chrome-finished aesthetic and futuristic interiors, the store is designed to encourage visitors to view eyewear not merely as a functional necessity but as a reflection of personal style and creative identity.
The launch marks the beginning of a broader retail vision for the company, with Lenskart indicating that evolv will serve as the blueprint for a limited collection of similar exclusive concept stores in the future. By reimagining the physical retail environment, the brand aims to expand the role of eyewear stores beyond product selection and purchase, turning them into destinations for exploration and self-expression.
Speaking at the launch, Peyush Bansal said the future of eyewear would be shaped not only by the products people wear but also by how they discover and connect with them. He noted that technology has long been central to Lenskart’s approach and that the company is now extending that mindset to the retail experience itself.
“We want to challenge the conventional boundaries of the category, bringing together design, culture and technology to make eyewear a more expressive and immersive experience,” Bansal said. He added that Lenskart evolv represents the first expression of a larger vision to rethink what an eyewear destination can become.
Technology forms a key pillar of the concept store. Customers can experience a connected retail journey that integrates AI-assisted eye testing, remote optometrist consultations and a digital shopping assistant designed to help them navigate the eyewear collection. The experience is further supported by intelligent retail technologies, including Tango Eye, aimed at making the process of discovering eyewear more personalised, intuitive and engaging.
The debut of Lenskart evolv was celebrated with an exclusive evening event attended by members of the fashion, media, creator and entrepreneurial communities. Guests were introduced to the concept through a range of immersive brand experiences and interactive installations that reflected the store’s emphasis on creativity and innovation.
Adding to the atmosphere were curated attractions such as a live window showcase featuring Lenskart eyewear, the company’s humanoid innovation, an interactive Polaroid photo booth and personalised eyewear utility cases. These elements helped extend the playful and experiential spirit of the evolv concept beyond the retail floor.
With its combination of advanced technology, contemporary design and experiential retail, Lenskart evolv signals the company’s belief that the future of eyewear shopping lies in creating meaningful and immersive experiences. Now open to customers in Mumbai, the flagship offers a glimpse of how the next generation of eyewear retail may take shape in India.
