With more than 18 years of healthcare leadership experience, Joshi returns to the organisation to oversee clinical and administrative operations, focusing on patient outcomes, operational efficiency and consultant engagement.
Abhinav Joshi has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of CARE Hospitals, part of Quality CARE India Limited, for its flagship facility in Banjara Hills. In his new role, Joshi will oversee the end-to-end clinical and administrative operations of the 435-bed multi-specialty hospital, with a mandate to strengthen patient outcomes, improve operational efficiency and deepen engagement with the hospital’s network of medical consultants.
The appointment brings to the organisation a seasoned healthcare administrator with more than 18 years of experience in hospital management and operational leadership. Joshi’s career has spanned a number of leading healthcare institutions, where he has worked on building efficient hospital systems, scaling operations and strengthening service delivery frameworks.
Before joining CARE Hospitals, Joshi served as Vice President – Operations at Sahyadri Hospitals, where he oversaw cluster operations and coordinated large-scale administrative functions across multiple healthcare facilities. His responsibilities there included optimising operational workflows, managing cross-hospital coordination and ensuring consistent standards of patient care.
Earlier in his career, Joshi held the position of Chief Operating Officer at HCG Hospitals in both Ahmedabad and Rajkot, where he played a key role in strengthening operational processes and supporting the delivery of specialised medical services. He also served as Regional Head at Motherhood Hospitals, further expanding his experience in managing multi-facility healthcare networks and coordinating clinical and administrative teams.
Notably, Joshi’s latest appointment marks a return to CARE Hospitals. His earlier tenure also included significant roles at HCG Multispecialty Hospital and Wockhardt Hospitals, where he built expertise in profit-and-loss management, hospital operations and healthcare delivery transformation.
With his return to the Banjara Hills flagship, CARE Hospitals is expected to benefit from Joshi’s familiarity with the institution and his broad operational experience across India’s private healthcare sector. His leadership will be directed towards enhancing the hospital’s performance across clinical outcomes, operational productivity and collaborative engagement with its consultant community, reinforcing the facility’s role as a major healthcare centre in Hyderabad.
