Diageo India has announced the appointment of Tanya Singh as Senior General Manager – Brand Marketing for its iconic brand Johnnie Walker, marking a significant milestone in her distinguished journey in brand strategy and consumer marketing.

Tanya brings with her a rich and diverse background in building powerful consumer brands. Prior to this, she spent over eight impactful years at Unilever, where she most recently held the role of Premium Makeup Brand Lead for Lakmé. During her tenure, she was instrumental in shaping and elevating Lakmé’s premium portfolio, blending global trends with local insights to drive brand affinity and market relevance.

Her deep understanding of evolving consumer aspirations, combined with a keen eye for innovation and storytelling, positions her well to steer the Johnnie Walker brand into its next phase of growth in India’s dynamic luxury and lifestyle segment.

Tanya’s appointment reflects Diageo India’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its brand leadership and crafting meaningful consumer experiences for one of the world’s most admired spirits brands.

Announcing her new role on LinkedIn, Singh shared her excitement: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Senior GM, Brand Marketing | Johnnie Walker at Diageo India!”

Singh holds a marketing degree from IIM Kozhikode and has further strengthened her credentials with a certification in Digital Strategy from Harvard University. With over a decade of experience, she has collaborated with CXOs in executive assistant and PMO roles, independently spearheading strategic initiatives across various sectors including consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, and luxury fashion.

In addition to her time at Unilever, Singh has contributed to leading organisations such as Reliance Brands, Raymond, and more, showcasing her versatility and leadership across diverse industries.

With this new role at Diageo India, Singh is expected to bring fresh vision and strategic depth to the Johnnie Walker brand, strengthening its legacy in the Indian market.
