Sustainable fashion brand VIRGIO has appointed Hansa Nigam as Chief Marketing Officer, expanding her role to lead marketing and growth strategy. With experience at OnePlus, Glance and The Glitch, Nigam will strengthen VIRGIO’s presence at the intersection of fashion, technology and sustainability as the Bengaluru-based brand pursues global on-demand fashion ambitions.
Sustainable fashion-tech company VIRGIO has announced the appointment of Hansa Nigam as Chief Marketing Officer, a move that underscores the brand’s commitment to building a category-defining presence in India’s fast-evolving fashion landscape. Nigam, who joined VIRGIO in 2023, has already played a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s identity and consumer engagement. Her expanded mandate will now encompass leading marketing and growth strategy as the company enters its next phase of expansion.
Nigam’s career spans brand strategy, digital marketing and consumer growth across leading global and Indian businesses. At OnePlus, she spearheaded marketing initiatives for the OnePlus Nord portfolio across India and international markets, while at Glance she drove digital campaigns for multiple celebrity-led brands. Earlier, at The Glitch, she worked in strategic planning, building brand strategies for major consumer names. This blend of global brand-building expertise and startup execution has informed her approach to creating culturally resonant marketing that delivers measurable impact.
Commenting on her appointment, Nigam said: “I’m honoured to take on this role at such an exciting stage in VIRGIO’s journey. Over the past few years, we’ve built a brand that is not just responding to how consumers shop today, but reimagining how fashion can be discovered, experienced, and produced. I’m excited to continue building on that momentum—creating marketing that inspires people, strengthens our community, and helps shape the future of conscious fashion.”
Founded by Amar Nagaram, former CEO of Myntra, VIRGIO is headquartered in Bengaluru and has rapidly established itself as one of India’s fastest-growing sustainable fashion brands. The company integrates technology, AI-led trend intelligence and an on-demand manufacturing ecosystem to produce trend-first fashion aligned with real-time consumer demand, while tackling the industry’s longstanding challenge of overproduction.
With a vision to become the world’s largest on-demand fashion brand by 2030, VIRGIO is reimagining the fashion value chain through a demand-led approach that prioritises speed, innovation and responsible growth. Nigam’s elevation to CMO reflects the company’s continued investment in leadership that can drive both cultural relevance and business scalability, positioning VIRGIO at the forefront of fashion’s intersection with technology and sustainability.
