Havas Media Network has strengthened its Australia and New Zealand leadership team with two senior appointments. Kunal Chakravarty becomes Head of New Business & Marketing, while Agata Adamczak joins as Head of Organic & AI Performance. The moves expand Havas’ growth and AI-powered capabilities, aligning with evolving client and consumer needs.

Havas Media Network has announced two senior appointments to its Australia and New Zealand leadership team, underscoring its ambition to expand growth and AI-powered performance capabilities across the region.

Kunal Chakravarty, known as KC, has been named Head of New Business & Marketing, ANZ. He steps into the role from Havas People, where he led new business across APAC. Previously, he served as Head of Integration at Havas India, helping to unify agencies within the Indian Havas Village. During his tenure, the network was recognised as Campaign’s South Asia Agency of the Year 2024, while its new business team earned the accolade of New Business Development Team of the Year. In his new position, KC will oversee new business and marketing across Havas Media, Havas Play, CSA, and Prose on Pixels in Australia and New Zealand.

Kate O’Ryan-Roeder, CEO of Havas Media ANZ, welcomed the appointment: “KC’s perspective and approach are a natural fit for us at Havas Media. He brings fresh thinking, a collaborative mindset and genuine curiosity about how our industry continues to evolve. At a time when clients are navigating increasing complexity, he has a proven ability to bring together people, capabilities and ideas in ways that create meaningful value for clients. That’s what being Deliberately Different means to us.”

Alongside KC, Agata Adamczak joins as Head of Organic & AI Performance within the Consumer Science & Analytics team. With nearly two decades of experience spanning data, digital strategy, search and AI visibility, she has held senior roles at iCrossing, Performics, BrightEdge, Pattern, Botify and Dotdigital, working with brands including Harvey Norman, Optus, Canva, Myer, Medibank and OFX. As Botify’s first ANZ hire and Solutions Consulting Director for JAPAC, she helped establish the company’s regional presence and introduce its emerging AI capabilities.

At Havas Media, Agata will lead the Organic & AI Performance practice, integrating content strategy, technical optimisation, data intelligence and AI-driven consulting. The practice aims to help clients adapt to changing discovery behaviour as consumers increasingly turn to AI platforms for answers and recommendations. O’Ryan-Roeder noted: “Agata joins us at exactly the right time for our clients and our industry. As AI continues to reshape how people discover brands, she brings a rare combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking and a passion for innovation.”

Agata emphasised that AI visibility must be treated as a broader business performance challenge rather than an extension of traditional SEO. “Traffic and rankings will still matter, but they can no longer tell the whole story. Brands also need to understand whether they are being cited, recommended and accurately represented by AI systems, and whether that visibility is influencing consideration, conversion and revenue,” she said.

In addition to her new role, Agata is the founder of AI enablement consultancy Lumii Advisory. Together, the appointments reflect Havas Media’s commitment to investing in capabilities that will keep clients competitive in an increasingly AI-driven landscape.
