JEEP WRANGLER WHITECAP MOJITO: A SPLASH OF COLOUR ON AN ICON

Jeep has given its iconic Wrangler a striking new identity with the Whitecap Mojito Limited Edition. Combining a vibrant Mojito green exterior with a contrasting white roof, heritage-inspired details and the Wrangler’s established four-wheel-drive capability, the special edition brings a distinctive lifestyle character to one of the world’s best-known off-road SUVs.

Some vehicles are designed to blend into the crowd. The Jeep Wrangler has never been one of them. With its upright stance, seven-slot grille and unmistakable silhouette, the Wrangler has spent decades cultivating an identity built around freedom, adventure and the ability to venture beyond conventional roads. The new Wrangler Whitecap Mojito takes that familiar personality and gives it an unusually vivid expression.

Revealed by Jeep India in September 2026, the Whitecap Mojito Limited Edition combines a bright Mojito green body with a contrasting Bright White hardtop. The white treatment continues around the grille, creating a two-tone appearance that immediately separates the special edition from the regular Wrangler range. Jeep describes it as a fresh take on the icon, bringing a cooler visual attitude to the familiar Wrangler design.

The colour combination is more than an attempt to attract attention. The Whitecap treatment draws from Jeep’s heritage, particularly the contrasting white-top appearance associated with earlier civilian Jeeps. The special edition also carries ‘1941’ graphics, a reference to the year the original Willys MB Jeep emerged and the beginning of a legacy that eventually led to the Wrangler. Body-coloured fender flares and a white ‘4 Wheel Drive’ graphic on the tailgate complete the exterior treatment.

The result is a Wrangler that looks both familiar and different. Its traditional boxy proportions remain intact, but the Mojito green paint gives the vehicle a more expressive personality, while the white roof and grille surround add a retro-inspired contrast. For a model whose appeal has always extended beyond straightforward transportation, the visual distinction is likely to be an important part of the Whitecap Mojito’s attraction.

Inside, Jeep has retained the Wrangler’s modern interpretation of the rugged 4×4 cabin while adding equipment specific to the special edition. A built-in dashcam and reinforced grab handles are among the additions. The feature package otherwise carries over much of the equipment associated with the Rubicon, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 12-way powered front seats, a 7-inch driver information display and a nine-speaker Alpine audio system with subwoofer.

The technology package is complemented by safety features designed to make the Wrangler more usable in everyday conditions. Six airbags, dual-zone climate control and advanced driver-assistance systems form part of the equipment package. Jeep’s ADAS suite includes features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning and Advanced Brake Assist.

Yet the Whitecap Mojito is not merely a cosmetic exercise. Beneath the distinctive paintwork is the mechanical character that has made the Wrangler such a recognised name among off-road enthusiasts. The special edition uses the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, producing 272hp and 400Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system. There are no fundamental mechanical changes over the Rubicon on which the edition is based.

That means the Whitecap Mojito retains the Wrangler’s focus on capability. Jeep highlights equipment such as its Heavy-Duty Dana 44HD Full-Float rear axle, available 32-inch tyres, stronger axle tubes, larger brakes and rugged steel skid plates. These features underline the fact that the Mojito treatment is not intended to turn the Wrangler into a purely urban lifestyle vehicle. The visual makeover sits on top of a platform built for difficult terrain.

The edition arrives at an interesting point in Jeep’s Indian journey. Jeep India is marking a decade in the country, and the company has been using special editions to connect its current products with its heritage. The Whitecap Mojito fits naturally into that strategy: it is contemporary in its technology, unmistakably traditional in its design language and deliberately exclusive in its appearance.

Jeep has opened pre-bookings for the Whitecap Mojito, but its final India price and launch details had not been officially announced in the latest available information. The existing Wrangler Rubicon is priced at ₹70.8 lakh ex-showroom, and reports expect the limited edition to command a premium, although the final figure will be determined by Jeep.

For the Wrangler, therefore, the Whitecap Mojito is less about reinventing the machine and more about celebrating what already makes it distinctive. The bright green body, white roof and heritage graphics give it a personality that is difficult to overlook, while the established 4×4 hardware ensures that the style does not come at the expense of capability.

In an automotive world increasingly filled with similarly shaped SUVs, the Wrangler continues to occupy a different space. The Whitecap Mojito pushes that individuality even further. It is a limited-edition Wrangler for buyers who want the unmistakable silhouette of an icon, the capability of a serious four-wheel-drive vehicle and, above all, a little more colour in their adventure.
