Publicis Production has appointed John Doris as EVP, Production & Craft. With senior leadership roles at Omnicom, TBWA\Chiat\Day, and Saatchi & Saatchi, Doris brings extensive expertise and industry relationships. He will partner with creative leadership to deliver craft excellence across ambitious projects, reinforcing Publicis Production’s commitment to exceptional work.
Publicis Production has announced the appointment of John Doris as Executive Vice President, Production & Craft, a move that underscores the network’s commitment to elevating craft excellence across its most ambitious and complex projects. Doris, who brings nearly two decades of senior production leadership, will partner closely with creative and production leaders to ensure that execution and craft remain at the heart of Publicis Production’s output.
Doris’s career has been defined by building high-performing production teams and delivering award-winning work at some of the industry’s most respected agencies. Most recently, he served as Head of Production at Omnicom Production, where he led a team of more than 80 specialists. Prior to that, he was Head of Integrated Production at TBWA\Chiat\Day New York, where he built and scaled a 30-person in-house studio that became both a creative engine and a significant revenue driver for the agency. His earlier tenure at Saatchi & Saatchi saw him produce globally recognised campaigns and champion emerging filmmaking talent through the New Directors’ Showcase, a platform that has shaped the careers of many leading directors.
In his new role, Doris will act as a trusted partner to agency creative leadership across the Publicis Production network, bringing senior stewardship to projects spanning film, content, integrated, experiential, digital, and emerging formats. His remit will involve activating an extensive network of industry relationships built over decades, ensuring that high-stakes projects are set up to achieve their fullest potential without compromising on craft.
Laura Davis, Chief Client Officer at Publicis Production, welcomed the appointment, stating: “John understands what it takes to turn ambitious ideas into exceptional work. Our clients come to us because they want to make something truly exceptional, and John’s experience, creative judgment, and deep industry relationships open up new possibilities for what we can achieve together. We’re excited to have him helping push the work even further.”
Reflecting on his new role, Doris commented: “Great work happens when creative ambition meets exceptional craft. I’m excited to join Publicis Production and work alongside teams who care deeply about the details, helping ambitious ideas find their best possible expression.”
The appointment signals Publicis Production’s continued investment in leadership that blends creative ambition with operational excellence. With Doris’s proven track record in scaling production capabilities and nurturing talent, the network is positioning itself to deliver work that not only meets the demands of scale and complexity but also sets new benchmarks for craft in the industry.
