Mumbai-based integrated communications agency OktoBuzz has been appointed social media partner for Tata Crucible Quiz. The agency will focus on transforming the celebrated quiz property into a year-round digital destination for students and professionals, strengthening engagement, participation and intellectual curiosity while extending its legacy beyond the annual competition season.

OktoBuzz has secured the social media mandate for Tata Crucible Quiz, marking a significant step in the evolution of one of India’s most respected knowledge-based properties. The Mumbai-based brand consultancy and integrated communications agency will be responsible for strengthening the quiz programme’s digital presence and building a thriving, always-on community of knowledge enthusiasts across the country.

For more than two decades, Tata Crucible Quiz has established itself as India’s premier business quiz, bringing together students and professionals from universities and corporates to compete in a test of business acumen, current affairs awareness and intellectual agility. Over the years, it has developed strong cultural relevance among ambitious young Indians, earning a reputation as a platform that celebrates curiosity, sharp thinking and aspirational achievement.

Under the new partnership, OktoBuzz will seek to translate the extensive goodwill and recognition built through Tata Crucible Quiz’s on-ground engagements into a dynamic digital ecosystem. The agency’s mandate goes beyond seasonal promotion, aiming instead to create meaningful interactions throughout the year and position the platform as a daily destination for business trivia, learning and intellectual engagement.

The strategy will focus on connecting with both campus and corporate audiences, encouraging participation and fostering conversations that resonate with digitally native consumers. By extending the spirit of competition and discovery beyond the quiz stage, OktoBuzz hopes to strengthen Tata Crucible Quiz’s relevance among emerging generations of learners and professionals.

Commenting on the partnership, Hemal Majithia, CEO and Founder of OktoBuzz, said the appeal of Tata Crucible Quiz lies in its ability to make knowledge both aspirational and rewarding.

“Tata Crucible Quiz has done something remarkable over the years. It has made knowledge aspirational and curiosity something worth celebrating. For us, the opportunity is to build on that legacy and bring the same spirit of curiosity, competition and discovery into everyday digital conversations,” Majithia said.

He added that the agency’s ambition is to create a community where young people actively participate rather than passively consume content.

“We want to create a space where young minds don’t just consume content, but challenge themselves, exchange ideas and genuinely enjoy the pursuit of knowledge. That’s what makes this partnership exciting for us,” he said.

The appointment further strengthens OktoBuzz’s growing portfolio of education, culture and knowledge-focused brands. The agency has increasingly positioned itself as a specialist in community-building and audience engagement, with an emphasis on creating sustained participation rather than campaign-led visibility alone.

Over its 13-year journey, OktoBuzz has worked with several prominent organisations and brands, including Hamleys, CNN-News18, CNBC-TV18, Citi India, Westside, ACCA and Godrej Locks. Its client roster also includes bestselling authors such as Chetan Bhagat, Amish Tripathi and Ashwin Sanghi.

With the latest mandate, both organisations are betting on the power of digital communities to deepen engagement with audiences. As Tata Crucible Quiz looks to extend its legacy into an increasingly connected era, the partnership aims to ensure that the pursuit of knowledge remains a year-round conversation rather than a once-a-year event.
