MET WELCOMES VISIONARY BRAND CUSTODIAN THAMPOO JACOB TO ADVISORY BOARD

MET Institute of Mass Media has appointed Thampoo Jacob, Chairman & Chief Brand Custodian of Thampoo Jacob Associates, to its Advisory Board. A rare creative director with mastery of both art and copy, Jacob brings decades of brand-building expertise, academic distinction, and artistic innovation to inspire students and redefine communication.  

The MET Institute of Mass Media has proudly announced the appointment of Thampoo Jacob, Chairman & Chief Brand Custodian of Thampoo Jacob Associates, as a valued member of its Advisory Board. A visionary in brand building and communication, Jacob’s strategic insights and creative leadership will inspire students to craft narratives that transcend convention and resonate with impact.  

Jacob is perhaps the only Creative Director in the industry with both art and copy faculties revving in equal measure. Over the last three decades, he has launched and managed brands and services across diverse sectors and domains. His journey began as a child protégée in art, discovered and trained by fine artists at a young age. He went on to win numerous youth festival awards in drawing and painting during his school and college years.  

After completing his graduation, Jacob moved to Mumbai to explore the dynamic world of advertising. Armed with a Masters in Mass Communication from Xavier Institute of Communications, Mumbai, and a Masters in Marketing Management from Xavier Institute of Management, he quickly established himself as a creative force, winning several prestigious awards including the coveted Abby Gold.  

Today, Jacob is also migrating into the world of fine art, producing works in oil and acrylic on canvas that challenge the mind with hidden symbolic mysticism and contemporary figurative interpretations. His unique style is expressed from his Mumbai residence and Kerala riverfront studio, reflecting a fulmination of creativity that bridges communication and art.
