Metro Brands has appointed Atul Sinha as president – core business to lead Metro and Mochi Shoe stores. Moving from CaratLane, Sinha will focus on brand equity, consumer engagement and operational excellence. CEO Nissan Joseph praised his expertise, while Sinha highlighted Metro’s strong legacy and growth potential across markets and channels.
Metro Brands has announced the appointment of Atul Sinha as president – core business, where he will lead the strategy and growth of the company’s Metro and Mochi Shoe stores. Sinha will focus on strengthening brand equity, deepening consumer engagement and driving operational excellence across channels for this division.
He joins Metro Brands from CaratLane, where he served as chief operating officer. Commenting on the appointment, Nissan Joseph, CEO, Metro Brands, said: “Atul brings a unique blend of expertise across brand building, merchandising, retail operations and customer experience. Having successfully scaled large consumer businesses and led transformation across multiple functions, he will play a key role in sharpening the execution and positioning of our Metro and Mochi banners, accelerating performance and advancing our consumer proposition across the portfolio.”

With a career spanning over two decades, Sinha has held leadership roles across prominent consumer businesses. In addition to his tenure at CaratLane, he has worked with Hindustan Unilever, gaining extensive experience in brand management, retail operations and consumer engagement. His appointment underscores Metro Brands’ commitment to reinforcing its core business and driving sustained growth in India’s competitive footwear retail market.
