Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Ranjan expressed heartfelt gratitude and optimism about his new global mandate: “With immense gratitude and humility, I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as the Global Head of Brand, Motorola at Motorola Mobility (a Lenovo Company)!”

He also took a moment to acknowledge the impact of his mentor, Prashanth Mani, stating: “I am deeply grateful to my mentor and manager, Prashanth Mani, for his unwavering trust, invaluable guidance, and constant encouragement. His leadership in APAC has been instrumental in shaping my professional path.”

In his new role, Ranjan will be responsible for steering Motorola’s global brand strategy and evolution, ensuring its alignment with the company’s vision for innovation, relevance, and consumer connection across markets worldwide.

With a proven track record in brand building and regional leadership, Ranjan’s appointment signals Motorola’s continued focus on reinforcing its identity in the competitive global smartphone landscape.

Reflecting on his professional journey, Ranjan shared,“Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of leading marketing for India and then the broader APAC region. Each chapter has been a remarkable journey—full of learning, growth, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to both the brand and the business.”

“As I now take on the honor of leading the Motorola brand on a global stage, I’m both humbled and excited about what lies ahead. Motorola is an iconic name in the industry, and I look forward to contributing to its continued evolution and global impact. A heartfelt thanks to Ruben Castano and Sergio Buniac for entrusting me with this responsibility.”
